Customer's reviews

My experience with the company IS nothing but praise really, I had my aged mother living with me for two years, while she was here Sylvian care helped immensely with care for my mum. I needed to work. The company were very proficient in the work care attitude and my mother was indeed happy with the service she received. More than happy. ~ Kareem H
I’d like to acknowledge the high level of service provided by Sylvian Care including the Manager. The hard work, care and attention to detail shown by the carers is exceptional, and I have already seen the positive impact this has had on my Mum. She is very relaxed, happy and is communicating more. My Mum is quite a sensitive person and responds positively when she is shown kindness and attention; which is what she has experienced since the start of her package with Sylvian care. The carers have also highlighted issues that have not been picked up previously, which is very reassuring. I also really love the Birdie app, which details each visit. I can see what she’s eaten and her mood and meditation taken etc., which is really important for me to have access to this information. I’m also informed promptly if there are any issues. Thanks so much for the excellent care you’re providing my Mum. ~ Anne-Marie T

Questions & Answers

What will home carers do?
Home carers, also known as caregivers, care professionals or health care assistants provide a variety of services to individuals who need assistance with daily activities due to aging, illness, disability, or recovery from surgery. The specific duties of home carers can vary depending on the needs of the person they are caring for, but typically include: Personal Care: Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Medication Management: Helping to administer prescribed medications, reminding clients to take their medications, and monitoring for any adverse reactions. Meal Preparation: Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if necessary Light housekeeping
What is the difference between home care and live-in care?
Home care is best suited for people who need part-time or hourly assistance and don’t require constant supervision. It’s ideal for those who need help for specific periods during the day such as getting ready for bed. Live-in care is more appropriate for people who need constant support and supervision or those with mobility issues or advanced dementia. The carers would live with the client and they would have their own room and scheduled breaks
Do you provide urgent care? How soon can you start delivering care?
Typically care begins within 3-7 days from the initial contact, however depending on the care professionals availability we might be able to start within 24 hours in emergency situations such us when someone is being discharged from the hospital.
